Honesty is the best policy. Honesty and trust above all: the vital foundation for any good relationship.
Good advice is not to lie to yourself. Feel what you feel; it's okay. Tell the truth to yourself and to others. Sure, it makes you vulnerable, you may feel stupid, but in the end, it is of absolute importance.
To be honest, I'm almost to that point. I finally stopped lying to myself, finally accepted what I was feeling. And now I can eventually get over it. Being honest with others is much harder, and that's where I meet my wall.
But these are all interesting issues and observations I've discovered/noticed and am trying to deal with.
The psychology is, in truth, extremly fascinating.

I couldn't agree with you more, honesty is very important. My Faith has helped me become more honest and confident about myself. I've realized that we don't have to lie about/to ourselves, because God accepts us for us. And when you can be honest, your relationship grows and you learn a lot about yourself.
I used to be the most shy and quiet little kid ever. Seriously. lol
